1. How do you evaluate jewelry?
We look at every piece of jewelry as a completed piece, taking into account its design, where it is made and whether it is a signed piece. Another important consideration is its maker: Tiffany, VCA or Cartier, Boucheron, etc.
2. What types of jewelry do you buy?
We buy all types of jewelry, ranging from contemporary jewelry to antique pieces. We have purchased everything from fun Cartier Love bangles to 18th century tiaras.
3. Can you tell me what my jewelry is worth?
When you bring your pieces in, we can examine the items and make you an offer to purchase them.
4. Is pricing based on retail value?
For certain contemporary pieces, there may be some relationship to the retail price, however, the most important factor is the desirability and demand for that piece in the secondary market.
5. Can you please explain your process?
It is a very easy one; our clients come in with their items and meet with a CIRCA expert buyer, we examine the pieces and make offers to purchase. Should we not come to terms, there is no cost or obligation on our client’s part, but if the offer is accepted a check can be issued immediately .
6. How long have you been in business?
CIRCA, the leading global jewelry buying company, has been in business since 2001.
7. What percentage of my appraisal should I expect?
Every item is evaluated individually. We have paid a percentage of retail in some cases, and have paid more than the original retail, based on the desirability, age and condition of the item.
8. To whom do you sell?
We sell to an international group of collectors.
9. Do you buy gold coins?
We buy gold and silver coins, both domestic and foreign.
10. Do you buy watches?
We purchase watches of all makes and models and pocket watches as well, particularly Patek Philippe, Rolex, Cartier, Vacheron Constantin, and Audemars Piguet.
