We aren’t easily surprised, but when our client brought this Everose Yacht-Master 40 to our Greenwich office the other day, we were taken aback. Barely a year in its new iteration, this was the first Rolex to be offered on a rubber strap. “You’re probably wondering why I’m selling this,” he said. We’re always curious. “I think I’m allergic to the rubber,” he said as he took off the watch, exposing a patch of hives on his wrist. I love the watch but look. It itches too!” He told us that Benadryl helps but enough was enough. In the name of his well being we made an offer that proved to be good medicine. Looking it over he said, “I feel better already.” He smiled, and signed our purchase form. “Wait till you see our bill,” we teased as we handed him his check.
